Product Overview
Special polyester powder coating designed for thermal transfer printing on architectural and industrial aluminum profiles. The coating delivers outstanding film-forming performance and excellent compatibility with transfer processes, perfectly reproducing wood grain, stone texture and other simulated patterns from thermal transfer films. Widely applied to aluminum doors & windows, curtain walls, railings, sunrooms and aluminum decorative profiles for long-term outdoor service.
Key Features
Optimized for wood grain transfer with high definition
Dense and uniform coating surface ensures great compatibility with thermal transfer films. No blistering, mottling, color bleeding or film adhesion during high-temperature transfer. Patterns are fully replicated with delicate, lifelike grain lines without broken or blurred edges. The transfer film peels off smoothly with minimal residual adhesive for superior simulation effect.
Excellent outdoor weather resistance
Formulated with weather-resistant polyester resin system. Resists UV radiation, chalking and discoloration, and withstands humid conditions and acid rain. The coating maintains gloss and color stability under long-term outdoor exposure, suitable for high-sunlight and rainy regions.
Stable physical and chemical properties
Excellent adhesion (Cross-hatch test: Grade 1). Good impact resistance and flexibility to prevent cracking during aluminum profile bending and fabrication. Moderate hardness provides abrasion resistance against minor scratches. Superior salt spray resistance effectively protects aluminum substrates from oxidation and corrosion.
Reliable spraying performance
Good charging property and high transfer efficiency with favorable edge coverage. Balanced leveling delivers smooth films free of pinholes, craters and pits. Wide curing tolerance minimizes impacts from temperature fluctuation, ideal for automatic spraying production lines.
Eco-friendly performance
100% solid powder with zero solvent and low VOC emissions, formaldehyde-free. Excess powder can be recycled and reused, complying with green coating standards.
Suitable Substrates & Process
Substrates: 6063 architectural extruded aluminum profiles, aluminum decorative components. Substrates require proper degreasing and chromate / chrome-free conversion pretreatment.
Process Flow: Electrostatic powder spraying → curing → vacuum thermal transfer printing.

Typical Applications
Thermal transfer coated broken-bridge aluminum door & window profiles, architectural curtain wall profiles, sunroom frames, aluminum railings, outdoor aluminum decorations, photovoltaic aluminum frames and other aluminum components requiring simulated wood grain finishes.
Custom Options
Available in matte, semi-gloss and soft gloss base colors (white, grey, brown, etc.) to match various transfer films. Custom film thickness available, recommended dry film thickness: 60–90 μm. Formulation can be adjusted for flowability and electrostatic performance according to production line conditions.
